Another rarely heard song, unencountered in the folk-song literature, but record-ed a few times commercially—by the Carter Family as “If One Won’t Another Will,” and as “Dread Scenes Of Winter” on an unidentified early hillbilly record, with dobro-style guitar. Texas Gladden from Virginia sings it on Asch Records as “Dark Scenes Of Winter.” Mike Seeger plays the autoharp.

All tracks are great. The other great thing is the liner notes. It's so good to have them and good on those artists and labels that include them. In this world of high-quality downloads it should be the norm. Thanks to SFW oldjembo

This is classic blues...sounds like a bunch of serious musicians sitting around and just having fun.
It's just beautiful. If you love blues or are dabbling with guitar, this is great fun. Jfah
